What can the grant be used for?
Individuals may apply for a grant to attend a national/international skateboarding championships or tournaments, or visit a community to further accelerate skateboarding skills/workshops for local children. We need to see merit in how the grant will be spent in making a difference or on ground impact. We measure these through four subjective parameters: individual growth, local community/peer growth, skill advancement and representation for India.
How can I spend the grant?
For individual skaters the grant could be used towards participation fees and travel/stay allowance costs to attend skate events. For community related proposals skaters may use the grant towards materials, facility rentals and in some cases equipment related expenses to support skate workshops and clinics with a focus on social and educational development through sports.
Is there any other support alongside the grant money?
Yes. This may include but not limited to support in terms of mentorship, guidance and introductions. An important aspect of making the grant effective and impactful is to introduce the winners of the grant to a network of qualified professional and strategic partners who can help elevate the careers and advancement of the individual or the group.
